the law, any felony and some misdemeanor convictions can result in the
loss of a green card. Driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs

(especially if a child is in the vehicle or an injury occurs). Multiple
drunk driving arrests, without injuries involved, can also result in
removal proceedings by the DHS. Presenting a false identification to a
police officer or other public official can also initiate an attempt by
the government to take away someone’s green card. ...

Changing, Study Finds

... Scientists attribute this declining trend
to
several factors.
First, more stringent driving limits for Blood Alcohol Concentration
and increased penalties for drunk driving accounted for about 16
percent of the change from 1997 to 2000, according to the report. "This
shows that driving policies can have effects beyond simple deterrence,"
said Kerr. Higher educational attainment levels also have affected
people's perceptions of drunkenness, according to the study's authors,
who write that "Having less education, particularly not graduating high
school, is seen to be associated with reporting more drinks to feel
drunk." ...

9/11/2005 - Is there a
difference between
beer and hard liquor? You bet your brewsky!
Beer and hard liquor are not the same, despite what
the liquor lobby may be telling you. For example, a Long Island Iced
Tea can contain as much alcohol as five to six beers. While some
groups will try to tell you otherwise, Americans are not easily fooled
by the “a drink is a drink” theory. A recently conducted poll found
that more than half of adult beverage consumers recognize that a drink
is not a drink because liquor is more potent and can be consumed more
quickly. For more
